Mauna Kea Resort
Amenities

The Mauna Kea Beach Hotel  on the Big Island's Kohala Coast is in the process of undergoing extensive renovations. Built by Laurance Rockefeller along Mauna Kea Beach's beautiful white sand beach, it comprises 310 guest rooms and suites on 60 oceanfront acres. Being restored as well is the 18 hole golf course designed by Robert Trent Jones, Sr.  The hotel has various signature restaurants and dining events offering Hawaii Regional Cuisine. Also, the hotel provides beautiful venues for special events in over 58,000 square feet of function space. Several of the hotel's facilities remain open including the oceanside tennis courts.

The Mauna Kea Beach Resort has reciprocal signing privileges at the luxurious Hapuna Beach Prince Hotel. Opened in 1994, it was the second phase in Rockefeller's creation of Mauna Kea Resort.  The hotel property shares 1,839 acres of oceanfront paradise with the legendary Mauna Kea Beach Hotel. Perfectly nestled into the bluffs above Hapuna Beach, the hotel presents a flowing, contemporary Hawaiian style where guests experience the true essence of rejuvenation.
